The City of Angels Fire Department is a combination fire department, meaning that we utilize full-time and part-time, as well as volunteers to provide service to our citizens. We currently operate out of two fire stations to provide an ISO rating of 4. Fire Station #1, the main fire station, is located at 1404 Vallecito Road on the south end of the City and houses 1-type I fire engine, 1-type VI fire engine and 3-fire department staff vehicles. Station #1 is staffed by one (1) full time Company Officer and one (1) paid on-call Firefighter 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Station #2 is located in the same building as our police department at 200 Monte Verda St. At Station #2, we house 1-type I fire engine, a community emergency response team van and our fleet of antique fire equipment. Station #2 is not a staffed fire station, it is primarily used for secondary response by firefighters called back to handle emergencies and to store equipment and tools. Station #2 contains the fire department’s breathing air compressor system and is used as a landing zone for air ambulances.

Vegetation/ Weed Abatement
Fire Season is Coming, time to get ready!
The atmospheric rivers are gone, and the weather is turning warmer and dryer in Angels Camp. Fire season will be upon us before we know it. It’s time to prepare our properties by creating defensible space around homes and clearing vegetation.
Property inspections will be completed and weed abatement notices mailed out beginning the first week in May.

My goal is to make Angels Camp the safest community in the county. Since I came here in 2015, we’ve knocked three to four minutes off our response time in some areas. Since most of our calls are for medical problems, where every second counts, that translates to giving people a thirty to forty percent better chance of a good outcome.
