The City of Angels Public Works Department provides our City with infrastructure that is crucial to public health and safety. We strive to support a good quality of life and to provide environmental stewardship in our operations. The Public Works Department provides clean, healthy potable water to our customers, collects and treats our sewage to the best acceptable standard to protect the environment, and promotes open air activities by maintaining the parks for everyone’s enjoyment. The Department is also responsible for preventative and regular maintenance of the streets; which includes the roads, bridges, street lights, storm drains, and sidewalks, and is also responsible for building maintenance of all City owned facilities. We believe that our efforts help make the City a better community.
Our staff of thirteen operate a water treatment plant and its distribution system, a sewage treatment plant and its collection system, maintain 33 miles of roadways, and maintain five parks. We also plan, design, and/or build the infrastructure necessary for all these services.
